Mt. Diablo is 8-1 against Miramonte since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Matadors at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Mt. Diablo turned things around against Ygnacio Valley on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win. The Red Devils not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th (when they won 3-0).

Meanwhile, Miramonte hadn't done well against Alhambra recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Matadors had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2.

Miramonte took Alhambra into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 25-19, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Mt. Diablo's record now sits at 8-15. As for Miramonte, their record is now 14-11.

Mt. Diablo got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March against Miramonte by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
