Softball Recap: Shawano Community Drops Highest Score of Season Against Rhinelander

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shawano Community). They never let the Rhinelander Hodags get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their one-run performance the game before.

Shawano Community now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Rhinelander, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Coming up, Shawano Community will square off against Winneconne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rhinelander, they will challenge Tomahawk at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hatchets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.53 runs per game on average), something the Hodags will no doubt try to take advantage of.
