Baseball Game Preview: Caverna Colonels vs. Hart County Raiders

Caverna is 1-9 against Hart County since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Caverna will venture away from home to challenge Hart County at 5:00 p.m. Neither Caverna nor Hart County posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Monday just wasn't the day for Caverna's offense. They lost 13-0 to Butler County last Monday. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hart County came up short against North Hardin on Monday, falling 12-2. The Raiders have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Hart County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Collins, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double. Zach Sloan also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Hart County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Caverna, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Caverna suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Hart County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Caverna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
