Softball Game Preview: Rolling Meadows Mustangs vs. Elk Grove Grenadiers

Rolling Meadows hasn't had much luck against Elk Grove recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mustangs will host the Grenadiers at 4:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rolling Meadows fell victim to Hersey and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Huskies. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Elk Grove came up short against Wheeling on Monday, falling 10-4. The Grenadiers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Breana Hicks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Kaitlin Wirtz, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Elk Grove now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Rolling Meadows, their loss dropped their record down to 8-18.
