Baseball Recap: Taylor's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Anderson typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Taylor proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans, sneaking past 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Dylan Grimm was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Avery Smolenski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Taylor's win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for Anderson, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Taylor will take on rival Carlson at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Anderson is set to challenge their familiar foe Allen Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.2, the Jaguars 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
