Baseball Recap: Strasburg Comes Up Short

Strasburg extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-11 in the process. They lost 13-3 to the Eaton Reds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Strasburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Welch, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

As for Eaton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6. Considering they have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Eaton's side, Malaki Dalpra was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Strasburg will challenge Alameda at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eaton, they are taking a road trip to challenge Resurrection Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
