R-S Central came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the East Burke Cavaliers. Considering the Hilltoppers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

R-S Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for East Burke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: R-S Central beat the Cavaliers by a score of 11-2 later that day.
