Soccer Recap: Magee Takes a Loss

If Magee was feeling good fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Puckett last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Magee Trojans lost 6-3 to the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers on Thursday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Trojans couldn't quite close it out.

Maycie Smith and Kaylee Brown scored all three of Magee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Magee has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Southeast Lauderdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Magee will take on Mendenhall in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will challenge Philadelphia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
