Softball Recap: Buffalo Grove Drops Highest Score of Season Against Grayslake Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buffalo Grove). They walked away with an 18-15 victory over the Grayslake Central Rams on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Bison have won by exactly three runs.

Erin Ryan was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 13 contests. Leah Hampton also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Buffalo Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .587. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Buffalo Grove and bumps their season record up to 12-14. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Grayslake Central, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-13.

Coming up, Buffalo Grove will venture away from home to challenge Elk Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Grayslake Central, they will welcome Wauconda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
