Baseball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Tuba City Warriors

Page has gone a perfect 10-0 against Tuba City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Page will square off against Tuba City at 3:00 p.m. Page is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Page's tournament run continued when they took on Monument Valley on Saturday. Page blew past Monument Valley 11-3. The Sand Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Kellen Cummings and Mason Yazzie did most of the damage at the plate: Cummings scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2, while Yazzie went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Cummings a new career-high. Kevin Sam was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Tuba City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Chinle.

Page's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Tuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Page took their victory against Tuba City in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. Will Page repeat their success, or does Tuba City has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
