Basketball Game Preview: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Webster County

Macon County has gone 4-0 against Webster County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Macon County Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster County at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Macon County has three straight victories, Webster County has 21 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Macon County was able to grind out a solid win over Northside, taking the game 47-36.

Towanna Cochran was a one-woman wrecking crew for Macon County as she went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points. That's the most points Cochran has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniah Lake, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Webster County had to suffer through a 52-19 loss at the hands of Byne Christian.

Webster County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Macon County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Everything came up roses for Macon County against Webster County in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 56-9 win. In that game, Macon County amassed a halftime lead of 40-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
