Basketball Game Preview: Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings vs. Southbridge Pioneers

The Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings will head out to take on the Southbridge Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Nashoba Valley Tech is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Innovation Academy and fell 81-53. The Vikings were down 64-40 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Southbridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 70-28 defeat at the hands of Millbury. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Woolies are ranked 24th).

Nashoba Valley Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Southbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
