Softball Recap: Oak Hill Comes Up Short

Oak Hill managed to slip by Monmouth Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 13-6. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Carlee Austin was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Delia Custer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Monmouth Academy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Looking ahead, Oak Hill will head out on the road to square off against Winthrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Ramblers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Monmouth Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
