Southside Christian extended their winning streak to seven on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 19-1-1 in the process. They blew past the Greenville H Hurricanes 8-2. Considering the Sabres have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Southside Christian's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reeves Israel, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

As for Greenville H, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-10. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Greenville H's side, they got a good showing from Adam Greene, who kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Greene has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Daniel Wackerhagen was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Southside Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Carolina Academy on the 25th. As for Greenville H, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Upstate on the 27th.
