Basketball Recap: Llano Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Llano hadn't done well against Blanco recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went the Llano Yellowjackets' way against the Blanco Panthers as the Llano Yellowjackets made off with a 38-14 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-19 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Llano to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amelia Robinson, who posted 16 points. Sydney Kuykendall was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the loss, Blanco saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ashton Uballe scored seven points. Uballe has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kinley Boyd, who earned seven points.

Llano has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.2 points per game. As for Blanco, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-24.

Llano does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blanco, they will square off against Wall at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wall will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Blanco surely won't give up without a fight.
