Volleyball Recap: Challenger Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Challenger entered their tilt with Community Christian Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

In the three sets Challenger was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-8, 22-25, 25-14.

Kate Hightower paced Challenger's offense, picking up eight kills. Hightower got some help from Addison Jones and her 13 assists. Alondra Alonso controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Challenger's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Community Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Challenger is set to challenge their familiar foe Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy will square off against rival Lake Lure Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
