The Crowley Eagles will take on the Mansfield Summit Jaguars in a tournament on Friday. Crowley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Mansfield Summit's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Crowley is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Roosevelt get on the board and left with a 27-0 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.

Ian Sullivan looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Crowley: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 2-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Eli Washington was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Brodie Chambers was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Crowley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Mansfield Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Legacy, falling 11-2.
Clarence ?C3? Nevels III was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Crowley moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mansfield Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Mansfield Summit's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Crowley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. It's a different story for Mansfield Summit, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Crowley's hitters?
Crowley came up short against Mansfield Summit in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 9-6. Can Crowley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
