Softball Recap: Taylor County Vikings vs. Metter Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taylor County can now relate to. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Metter Tigers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 11-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Tuesday.
Brayln Hunter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she also posted a .667 batting average, which is the highestshe's posted since back in September.
Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Metter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
As of now, neither Taylor County nor Metter have any future games scheduled.
