Basketball Recap: Madeline Day and Brooke Brown Secure Win for Cranbrook Kingswood

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamady, Cranbrook Kingswood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They strolled past the Greenhills Gryphons with points to spare, taking the game 56-38. The win was some much needed relief for the Cranes as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Cranbrook Kingswood was led to victory by Brooke Brown and Madeline Day. Brown almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards, while Day went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Tang, who posted eight points.

Cranbrook Kingswood's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Greenhills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Cranbrook Kingswood will take on Everest Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenhills, they will challenge Novi Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenhills is facing Novi Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Novi Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
