Football Recap: St. Edward Takes a Loss

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Chicago Christian Knights 45-0. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 41-6 to the Knights when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jake Linkowski threw for 62 yards on four of 24 attempts. Jivonni Leix was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards.

St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chicago Christian, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Edward is set to challenge their familiar foe Chicago Hope Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chicago Christian will face off against rival Aurora Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
