Basketball Recap: Harvey Red Raiders vs. Madison Blue Streaks
Harvey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madison Blue Streaks. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Streaks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Harvey's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dom Snyder, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Snyder a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Armani Hall, who posted 15 points along with six boards and five assists.
Even though they lost, Harvey was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madison only racked up eight assists.
Mac Steele was his usual excellent self, going 12 of 19 on his way to 33 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Madison. The team also got some help courtesy of Knolan Albert, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.
Harvey's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Madison, they moved to 7-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Harvey will take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
