Baseball Game Preview: Amber-Pocasset Panthers vs. Minco Bulldogs

Amber-Pocasset is 9-1 against Minco since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Amber-Pocasset will be playing in front of their home fans against Minco at 4:30 p.m. Amber-Pocasset will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Amber-Pocasset had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Lexington on Tuesday. Amber-Pocasset blew past Lexington 10-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Amber-Pocasset got a big performance out of Trace Barry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Barry also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Connor Copeland, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Amber-Pocasset hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lexington struck out nine times.

Meanwhile, Minco lost 12-5 to Weatherford on Monday.

Amber-Pocasset's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Minco, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Amber-Pocasset's way against Minco when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Amber-Pocasset made off with a 14-6 win. Does Amber-Pocasset have another victory up their sleeve, or will Minco turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
