Curtis lost to Rogers last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Rams 5-3.

Curtis got a great performance from Bradley Dinelt as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Dinelt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Joe Giles, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Micah Yanos was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Curtis' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rogers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis will host Spanaway Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sentinels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rogers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Graham-Kapowsin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 3.9, the Eagles 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
