Basketball Recap: Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy Takes a Loss

Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 15-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johnson County Sports Association Lions.

Johnson County Sports Association can attribute much of their success to Kayley Myers, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Myers is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Margaret Lantrip, who earned two points.

Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Johnson County Sports Association, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-12-1 record.

Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson County Sports Association, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-21 defeat against Stephenville FAITH on the 6th.
