Volleyball Recap: Appleton East Patriots vs. Oshkosh West Wildcats
After flying high against Appleton West last Thursday, Appleton East came back down to earth. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Oshkosh West Wildcats on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
While Appleton East was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.
Their offense was headlined by Elizabeth Jacobs and Adina DePagter, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Opal Sparkman and her ten assists. Addison Kiekhaefer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
