After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Haywood, Jackson South Side was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Middleton Tigers a 9-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Zayden Melendez as he scored three goals for his team.
The win got Jackson South Side back to even at 1-1. As for Middleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson South Side is on the road again on Tuesday to play Dyer County at 5:30 p.m. Jackson South Side is facing Dyer County at the right time seeing as Dyer County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Middleton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Scotts Hill at 5:30 p.m. on April 2nd.
