Football Game Preview: Midland Trail Patriots vs. Summers County Bobcats + How To Watch

The Midland Trail Patriots will head out to face off against the Summers County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Midland Trail is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 35 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Chapmanville Regional on Friday. They were dealt a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Meanwhile, Summers County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Meadow Bridge, falling 26-6.

Having lost for the first time this season, Midland Trail fell to 3-1. As for Summers County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Midland Trail's way against Summers County when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Midland Trail made off with a 46-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
