Volleyball Recap: Seymour's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

After a string of nine wins, Seymour's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs by a score of 2-1. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Grizzly Cubs when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Seymour sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Seymour still got an impressive performance from Norah Campbell, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Franklin Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Seymour will be playing at home against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Community, they will venture away from home to face off against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
