Volleyball Recap: Aliyah Talamantez and Leila Juarez Secure Win for Farmersville

After losing to Avenal the last time they met, Farmersville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Aztecs came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Farmersville was led to victory by Leila Juarez and Aliyah Talamantez. Juarez had 25 digs and three assists, while Talamantez had 16 digs. Juarez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

The win got Farmersville back to even at 1-1. As for Avenal, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Farmersville has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against McLane on the 20th. As for Avenal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Woodlake on the 18th.
