Football Preview: Mifflin County Huskies vs. DuBois Beavers
The Mifflin County Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the DuBois Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mifflin County's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so DuBois' offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Mifflin County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Red Land, but they still walked away with a 21-15 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mifflin County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Hartung, who threw for 249 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 249 passing yards gave Hartung a new career-high. Lucas Hartung also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Mifflin County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 4.5 times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece ( Adan Daubert also recorded half a sack). Gavin Herrington was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, DuBois suffered their biggest defeat since October 25, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against Hollidaysburg, falling 49-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Beavers were not able to get on the board.
Mifflin County's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for DuBois, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Mifflin County couldn't quite get it done against DuBois when the teams last played back in September of 2015 as they fell 51-41. Thankfully for the Huskies, Zach Sloan (who rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 272 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time.
