The New Prairie Cougars can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Knox by a score of 55-45. That looming 55-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for New Prairie yet this season.
New Prairie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marshall Kmiecik, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Lapczynski, who scored nine points along with six assists and four steals.
New Prairie's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Knox, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
New Prairie will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Glenn at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hopefully Glenn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Knox, they will head out on the road to face off against Winamac at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Winamac focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Saturday.
