Softball Recap: King & Queen Central Comes Up Short

King & Queen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Middlesex Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 back in April.

King & Queen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Middlesex, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. King & Queen Central will face off against rival King William at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Middlesex is set to take on their familiar foe Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
