Basketball Game Preview: Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes vs. The Habersham School Patriots

Coastal HomeSchool hasn't had much luck against The Habersham School recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge The Habersham School Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Coastal HomeSchool is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Alleluia Community for the full four quarters, racking up an 86-45 win. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, The Habersham School had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They snuck past Trinity Christian with a 68-63 victory. 68 seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

The Habersham School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Coastal HomeSchool couldn't quite finish off The Habersham School when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 73-71. Can Coastal HomeSchool avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
