Basketball Recap: Lone Jack Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adrian, Lone Jack was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Midway Vikings by the margin of a single free throw, 47-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mules also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lone Jack to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christopher Bates, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points. The dominant performance gave Bates a new career-high in points. Blayze Marsh also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Lone Jack's record now sits at 6-10. As for Midway, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Lone Jack wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-41 win against Drexel on the 31st. Midway has also already played their next game (against Liberal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
