The
Del Oro (Loomis, Calif.)
Golden Eagles defeated their rival Placer Hillmen 73-65 to win the 80th
annual Kendall Arnett Tournament in Auburn. This victory comes as sweet
revenge for the Golden Eagles, who were beaten by the Hillmen 56-52 in
last year's tournament. The two schools, located only 12 miles apart,
have a fierce rivalry on the basketball court.
Leading the way for Del Oro was
Jake Williams,
who scored 22 points in the championship game. Williams' impressive
performance earned him a spot on the all-tournament team. However, it
was Del Oro's
Caden Pinnick
who took home the tournament MVP award. Pinnick consistently put up big
numbers throughout the tournament, solidifying his place as one of the
top players in the region.
