Volleyball Game Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Green Canyon Wolves

The Orem Tigers will challenge the Green Canyon Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Green Canyon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Orem, who comes in off a win.

While Tigers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over West Jordan last Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on 20 straight dating back to last season.

Orem not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Jordan between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Green Canyon came up short against Woods Cross on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Green Canyon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

Orem couldn't quite get it done against Green Canyon when the teams last played back in August of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
