Soccer Recap: Locust Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Webster on Tuesday, Locust Grove came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Fort Gibson Tigers on Thursday, falling 11-1. While losing is never fun, Locust Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Fort Gibson are ranked 22nd).

Locust Grove now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Fort Gibson, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, Locust Grove will welcome Regent Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Gibson, they will venture away from home to face off against Riverfield Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
