Football Game Preview: Seneca vs. Hollister

The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Hollister will challenge Seneca on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Hollister didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 14-20 to Mt. Vernon last Friday. Despite the loss, Hollister saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Layton Morgan passed for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Seneca were able to grind out a solid win over McDonald County, winning 40-28. The success made it back-to-back wins for Seneca.

Seneca's victory lifted them to 4-5 while Hollister's defeat dropped them down to 4-5. We'll find out if Seneca can add another positive mark to their record or if Hollister can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Seneca's step.
