Triton Regional is a perfect 3-0 against Essex Tech since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m.

On Friday, Triton Regional came up short against Newburyport and fell 28-21. The Vikings have struggled against the Clippers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Carl Lucy, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Another back making a difference was Everett Romano, who rushed for 53 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Essex Tech). They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 victory over Hamilton-Wenham Regional on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Essex Tech now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Triton Regional, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Triton Regional's way against Essex Tech in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Triton Regional made off with a 42-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
