Basketball Recap: Woodstock Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Woodstock lost against Plano back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Woodstock Blue Streaks took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plano Reapers. While losing is never fun, the Blue Streaks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Reapers are ranked 125th).

It was another big night for Josie Larson, who went 6 for 13 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Plano. Chloe Rowe was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Woodstock's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-13. As for Plano, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Woodstock has already played their next match (against Sandwich), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Plano will face off against Johnsburg at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Plano is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
