Volleyball Game Preview: Gainesville Hurricanes vs. Legacy Lions

The Gainesville Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Legacy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gainesville comes in on five and Legacy on 11.

Gainesville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Gateway as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

Innovation typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Legacy proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bulls by a score of 3-1.

Legacy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-14.

Gainesville better focus on containing Paisley Woods and Kherington Neikirk as the pair were huge in Legacy's win. Woods had 11 digs and three aces, while Neikirk had 11 digs. Woods has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Legacy's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Gainesville, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
