Football Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County fell victim to Brookhaven and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Panthers, falling 49-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Charlie Herring threw for 37 yards on seven of 18 attempts. Armond Adams was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards. On the ground, Jakory Brown rushed for 30 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Jaden Allen, who threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Caiden Quarles was in the mix as well, providing Brookhaven with two TDs.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brookhaven, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Franklin County has already played their next matchup, a 34-19 defeat against Wesson on the 12th. As for Brookhaven, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-17 win against Madison Central on the 12th.
