The Elmwood Park Tigers will challenge the Bartlett Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Elmwood Park made easy work of Fenton and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Waijdy El Halabi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Elmwood Park is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-8 otherwise. El Halabi was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Leon Solarczyk and Anthony Huaman did most of the damage at the plate: Solarczyk went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Huaman went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Huaman a new career-high. Salvatore Labarbera was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs.
Elmwood Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bartlett entered their tilt with Elgin on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Maroons.
Bartlett saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vince Yario, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that Yario has hit this season. Another was Josh Colaizzi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Bartlett's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-13-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.25 runs across that stretch. As for Elmwood Park, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
