Soccer Game Preview: Little Elm vs. Guyer

The Little Elm Lobos will head out on the road to square off against the Guyer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Elm's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Guyer will have to contend with a Little Elm team hungry for a victory, something the squad hasn't seen since January 7. Little Elm fell just short of Hebron by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Hawks are ranked 106th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Guyer was forced to settle for a draw. They and Marcus finished up their game with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Guyer's draw makes their record 4-4-1 this season. As for Little Elm, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-3.

Little Elm took their win against Guyer when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. In that contest, Little Elm amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
