Manchester has gone 7-1 against Huguenot recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lancers will head out to square off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Manchester comes in on nine and Huguenot on eight.
The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Manchester and Richmond High School for the Arts, and Manchester kept the tradition alive. The Lancers breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 61-0 on Friday. Considering the Lancers have won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Landen Abernethy, who threw for 205 yards and four TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 154.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Dior Barnes, who rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.
Manchester's run defense was locked in: Richmond High School for the Arts could only muster 0.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Aaron Udoh for the heroic effort on defense: he. Manchester didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Manchester, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Antonio Turner Jr, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Huguenot over James River Midlothian in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Falcons blew the Rapids out of the water with a 54-0 final score. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Huguenot found their leader in sophomore Charles Scott Jr, who threw for 262 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. A healthy portion of Scott Jr's aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Najarn Bostic, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Manchester's record is now 9-0. As for Huguenot, their record now sits at 8-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Abernethy and Scott Jr. Abernethy just won't slow down this season and has thrown 31 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 235.8 passing yards per game. Scott Jr has been a dominant force too and has thrown 33 touchdowns while averaging 286.2 passing yards per game.
Manchester might still be hurting after the 32-7 defeat they got from Huguenot in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lancers were down 20-0.
