Basketball Recap: Copper Basin Comes Up Short

Copper Basin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-42 loss at the hands of the Van Buren County Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 72-52 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Copper Basin's loss dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Van Buren County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-9.

As of now, neither Copper Basin nor Van Buren County have any future games scheduled.
