Volleyball Game Preview: Mercer Mustangs vs. Titusville Rockets

The Mercer Mustangs will head out to square off against the Titusville Rockets at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mercer will be strutting in after a win while Titusville will be coming in after a defeat.

Mercer took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Grove City.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-27, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Titusville suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Slippery Rock. Titusville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.

Mercer's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Titusville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Mercer was able to grind out a solid victory over Titusville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
