Football Recap: Klamath Union Skates Past Lakeview with Ease

Klamath Union's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 33-0 victory over the Lakeview Honkers. The Pelicans pushed the score to 27-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Honkers had little chance of recovering from.

Klamath Union's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tuko Saluskin, who picked up 117 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Saluskin didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions. Travyn Ruano handled things on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Klamath Union's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ruano, Griffin Johnson, and Aiden Caldera, who each picked up one sack apiece.

The Knights' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Honkers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
