The George Jenkins Eagles will host the Lake Gibson Braves at 8:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long.

George Jenkins fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Lake Wales on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-48 to the Highlanders.

Meanwhile, Lake Gibson played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Bell Creek Academy, falling 80-59. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-22.

George Jenkins will need focus on slowing down Jeremiah Epps, one of several Lake Gibson players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Norfleet, who had ten points.

George Jenkins' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lake Gibson, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
