Basketball Recap: Thunderbird's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Moon Valley came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Thunderbird, but Isabella Illingworth wouldn't allow it. The Thunderbird Titans blew past the Moon Valley Rockets 55-22 on Tuesday thanks in part to Illingworth, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Illingworth is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Lanaya Robinson, who posted eight points and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high.

Moon Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aniston Pattershall, who earned 12 points and six boards. Kamariana Shaw was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Thunderbird and bumps their season record up to 11-10. As for Moon Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Thunderbird has already played their next game, a 57-20 win against Goldwater on the 30th. As for Moon Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-15 loss against Paradise Honors on the 30th.
